With Square Cash, individuals no longer need to write checks, pay ATM fees or wait for forgotten loans from friends. Customers simply send an e-mail to the person they’re paying, and after the recipient enters their debit card number, money is directly transferred to their bank account.

This was a fascinating interview on one of them most innovative minds in technology not named Jobs or Gates or even Zuckerberg. Jack Dorsey has helped to create a new way of how we communication with each other and the world with Twitter. He then created a new way to have small businesses accept credit cards via their mobile device.

Jack and his company Square are the reason I started this blogsite. I wanted to keep people informed on the industry that Jack took by storm. The disruption of the credit card payment and processing industry has been an amazingly daunting task for those who are used to the traditional way of accepting credit cards through a merchant account.  So its rather fitting that Jack tells his story to 60 Minutes, a news program that prides itself on going after the stories that disrupt major industries, governments and in some cases the worlds view on a subject matter.

The Square house that Jack built had a major milestone today.  10 billion in annual payments using the Square Register service.  It’s amazing how this small company started a fire storm in the credit card payment processing business.  Twitter Co-founder Jack Dorsey has to be congratulated for taking the risk to start such a company in the midst of one of the worst financial periods of our times.

Store Manger Admits Stealing $42k from Business Using Square

A Waukegan  man admitted to stealing over $42,000 during his time as a manger of a Wilmette, Illinois business by diverting customer credit card payments into a personal bank account, police reported.
